How to Calculate and Solve for Period | Motion

The image above represents period.

To compute for period, one essential parameter is needed and the parameter is angular velocity (ω).

The formula for calculating period:

T = / ω

Where;

T = Period
ω = Angular Velocity

Let’s solve an example;
Find the period when the angular velocity is 11.

This implies that;

ω = Angular Velocity = 11

T = / ω
T = 6.28 / 11
T = 0.57

Therefore, the period is 0.57 s.

Calculating the Angular Velocity when the Period is Given.

ω = / T

Where;

ω = Angular Velocity
T = Period

Let’s solve an example;
Find the angular velocity with a period of 44.

This implies that;

T = Period = 44

ω = / T
ω = 6.28 / 44
ω = 0.1427

Therefore, the angular velocity is 0.1427.

Nickzom Calculator – The Calculator Encyclopedia is capable of calculating the period.

To get the answer and workings of the period using the Nickzom Calculator – The Calculator Encyclopedia. First, you need to obtain the app.
