How to Calculate and Solve for Creep Strain Rate | Fracture

Last Updated on December 15, 2022

The image above represents creep strain rate.

To compute for creep strain rate, three essential parameters are needed and these parameters are Stress (σ), Constant (k1and Constant (n).

The formula for calculating creep strain rate:

εs = k1σn

Where:

εs = Creep Strain Rate
k1, n = Constant
σ = Stress

Let’s solve an example;
Find the creep strain rate when the constant is 4, constant is 2 and stress is 10.

This implies that;

k1 = Constant = 4
n = Constant = 2
σ = Stress = 10

εs = k1σn
εs = (4)(10)2
εs = (4)(100)
εs = 400

Therefore, the creep strain rate is 400.

Nickzom Calculator – The Calculator Encyclopedia is capable of calculating the creep strain rate.

To get the answer and workings of the creep strain rate using the Nickzom Calculator – The Calculator Encyclopedia. First, you need to obtain the app.

You can get this app via any of these means:

Now, Click on Creep Strain Rate under Fracture

The screenshot below displays the page or activity to enter your values, to get the answer for the creep strain rate according to the respective parameter which is the Stress (σ), Constant (k1and Constant (n).

Now, enter the values appropriately and accordingly for the parameters as required by the Stress (σ) is 10, Constant (k1) is 4 and Constant (n) is 2.

Finally, Click on Calculate

As you can see from the screenshot above, Nickzom Calculator– The Calculator Encyclopedia solves for the creep strain rate and presents the formula, workings and steps too.
